Is there anyone out there who is being treated mean or unfairly by a boss or a manager, even when you are trying to do the right thing?
Could this be you?
You travel to your job every day and just as you are approaching the building where you work your pace starts slowing down because you feel like you’ve got a ten pound bag of cement attached to each ankle. The weight of the heart that you carry is so heavy your body can hardly support it.
You say to yourself: “I hate coming to this place. It used to be fun before my job was moved to this taskmaster’s department. This person is no better than a plantation overseer. I just HATE it!”
You feel trapped because there’s nothing you can do about it at this time. You have to be here to “render to Caesar that which is Caesar’s” because you’re a single parent, and you’ve got mouths to feed and rent to pay.
If this is you, here’s a suggestion for the next time you are confronted by your taskmaster…
Right there, and right then, pull a Donald Trump card (pun intended). Look that person in their face and in your heart, and in your mind say, “YOU’RE FIRED!”
Move him or her out of the way, and make the Lord your Boss and Manager, TODAY!
(Colossians 3:23-24, NLT)
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.
