Change, sometimes I hate it!
Pushing me, prodding me,
From my couch of comfort – ability.
Like a ball player on the hard wood floor,
I set up an illegal defense,
Trying to protect my comfort zone.
Hearing the ref’s whistle blow,
I move, but it’s too late.
I’m penalized.
 
Change, sometimes it really scares me!
Like walking through dark caverns,
Being menaced by steps of uncertainty.

Tweens & Teens Praising the Lord from Alpha to Omega - and Everything in Between is a lovingly written book that encourages and instructs young believers in how and when to give thanks and gratitude to the Lord God.

I especially enjoyed the manner in which a progression of selected scriptures of praise were introduced to the reader through use of key alphabetized words within the various Testaments. Each keyword and scripture was complemented with wonderfully colorful and enhancing illustrations.

The second part of the book provides its intended audience a Bible study guide. This guide provides a useful background of the author and the motivation in their writings as well as methods to derive benefit from the content of several selected books of the Old and New Testaments.

As a parent, I would feel very comfortable in discussing the substance and advantages provided within this book and enthusiastically recommended it to other parents for their children. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would ardently render the high score of 10!

But there is always God, He's the One whom they can always depend on, and tell their troubles to. He's the One whom they can praise in good times as well as not so good times.

Someone asked me, "Aren't we ALL God's children?"

My response: "Well, we're all God's creatures but we're not all God's children."

Their question: "How can you say that? Didn't he make us all?"
 
My response: "I know what the Word says..." and so I read this to them...
 
1st John 2: 28–29
28 And now, dear children, remain in fellowship with Christ so that when he returns, you will be full of courage and not shrink back from him in shame.
29 Since we know that Christ is righteous, we also know that all who do what is right are God’s children.
 
Their question: "What is right? No one does what is right all of the time."

My response: "Are you in fellowship with Christ today? That is what is right!"
