Why waste your time and money on Astrologers, Palm readers, Card readers, Tea leaf readers, and the like? When the Lord All Mighty says this: “This is what the Lord says—the Lord who made the earth, who formed and established it, whose name is the Lord: Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come. Jeremiah 33:2-3 (NLT) Photo from: meebits.deviantart.com “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” Jeremiah 32:27 KJV Photo from: freedomchurchec.com ![]() Forgiveness is not minimizing or playing down the gravity of a wrongdoing against you. Forgiveness is not forgetting, excusing or overlooking an offense against you But Forgiveness can give you peace of mind and free you from the weight and burden of destructive and eroding anger. If He can, why can’t we? Photo from: learygates.com He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. Ephesians 1:7 (NLT) Photo from: examiner.com R.I.F. (aka) Reading is Fundamental is a 50 years old organization that started out by rolling its huge bookmobiles into inner-city neighborhoods to distribute free books to little kids. The R.I.F. organization has always expressed that books play an essential role in a child’s development and learning and are the building blocks for a better future. What was, and still is true for little kids is true for us big kids now. Reading is STILL fundamental for a better future!! It used to be that the “B” word was the definition of a female dog who had lots of pups. Nowadays you don’t have to go far to hear it. It’s in conversations everywhere. Women, men, and even inanimate objects are labeled with the (oh so popular) “B” word. Some people like being called “B’s” and even call themselves “B’s” because it makes them feel empowered and yet, others hate being called “B’s” because it makes them feel disrespected and debased. That’s the culture we live in, go figure! But, I gotta tell you, there’s a “B” word I call myself, and you can call me that anytime you want. I love it! It empowers me, and that “B” word is “BELIEVER”! And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:6 (NIV) photo from: haikudeck.com Morning Prayer It is in You Lord that I live and move and have my being. I can not will my heart to beat or my lungs to trade oxygen for carbon dioxide. It is no design of mine that life should include laughter and dancing and weeping and love. You have woven joy and connectedness into the fiber of every living thing. Your timeline is outside of mine. You move in eternity. Here I am Lord, small and flawed and fearful; use me. I meditated on this prayer this morning and I am in agreement! I believe that God is the maker of ALL things and the Giver of life. Let His love and goodness take root in your heart and bloom in your life. photo from: telegraph.co.uk Three Dog Night is and American rock band that I remember from the 80s. I'm sure that some of you old heads, like me, remember them too. They put out a song called, One. The first sentence of their song says: "One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do." And...that's what I agreed with when I was 'of the world' and had no clue. But that was then, and this is now, and I know that there is NO loneliness in 'One' when you are in Christ! I got brothers and sisters all over this world and we are one in the Spirit and one in the Lord! Now you are the body of Christ and each one of you is a part of it. 1Corinthians 12:27(NIV) photo from: Fmm.org |
