Pushing me, prodding me,
From my couch of comfort – ability.
Like a ball player on the hard wood floor,
I set up an illegal defense,
Trying to protect my comfort zone.
Hearing the ref’s whistle blow,
I move, but it’s too late.
I’m penalized.
Change, sometimes it really scares me!
Like walking through dark caverns,
Being menaced by steps of uncertainty.
I reach out to touch the walls of my reality.
You know, just to keep my balance.
Change, Damn! Sometimes it’s such a challenge.
