Everyone loves a parade, the crowds, the music, the marching bands, Goliath-sized balloons and colorful floats grab at my heart and bring back fond memories of being a kid again. We would leave home extra early just so we could get ourselves a spot right up front to see everything that passed by. Sometimes the parade would stopped right in front of us for a fleeting moment and I would strain my little neck to get a glimpse of what was coming next. Some people stood on their roof tops so they could view a larger portion of the parade at once. They knew what was coming before we did. Those of us who were on the ground just had to be patient and wait to see what was coming next.
I often compare my life to a parade full of events, experiences and situations that come, to pass. I can only see what’s right in front of me and sometimes I get a glimpse of what’s coming next. But, there is One whose view is higher than a rooftop and He sees the parade of my life from beginning to end. He knows what’s coming and when it’s coming. He is my Heavenly Father and I am safe in His arms
